Position Overview:

Tbuddy, a pioneering organization providing peer-driven mental health support for transmasculine individuals, is seeking part-time Peer Support Experts to join our dedicated team. This role involves offering compassionate, confidential, and community-centered peer support while helping to bridge critical gaps in mental health care for transmasculine individuals globally.

Founded in 2017, Tbuddy was founded on the principles of inclusivity, empowerment, and lived experience. Now available in over 15+ countries, Tbuddy creates a safe space for transmasculine individuals to connect, heal, and grow. Through our 24/7 peer support network, we provide meaningful support tailored to the unique challenges faced by the transmasculine community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide empathetic and affirming peer support to transmasculine individuals via virtual platforms (text, chat, or virtual)

  • Utilize Tbuddy's comprehensive training and certification program to deliver high-quality, consistent support in line with organizational standards

  • Maintain a safe and confidential space for individuals to share their experiences, challenges, and goals

  • Collaborate with the Tbuddy team to identify resources, make referrals, and address complex needs within the transmasculine community

  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge

  • Assist in gathering feedback from participants to improve services and ensure program effectiveness

  • Document interactions and maintain accurate, confidential records in accordance with organizational protocols

  • Advocate for the needs of transmasculine individuals and contribute to Tbuddy’s broader mission of building inclusive mental health support systems

 

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Lived Experience: Strong understanding of the transmasculine experience and a commitment to supporting others in the community

  • Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening and nonjudgmental dialogue

  • Peer Support Training: Experience as a peer support specialist or completion of similar training is highly valued but not required (training will be provided by Tbuddy)

  • Cultural Competency: Understanding of intersectionality and the diverse experiences within the transmasculine community, including race, ethnicity, disability, and socioeconomic status

  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with virtual communication tools and ability to navigate digital platforms

  • Commitment: Alignment with Tbuddy’s mission and values of empowerment, inclusivity, and compassion

 

Part-Time Work Schedule

  • 5–20 hours per week, flexible shifts (evening, and weekend availability preferred)

  • Remote position with opportunities to work across multiple time zones

Fundraising & Grant Manager (Part-Time, Stipend)

Position Overview:

The Fundraising & Grant Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to secure funding from grants, individual donors, and other revenue streams. This position is ideal for someone passionate about supporting transmasculine communities and skilled in grant writing, donor engagement, and fundraising strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research grant opportunities aligned with Tbuddy’s mission.

  • Write, edit, and submit grant proposals and applications.

  • Manage the grant application and reporting process, ensuring all deadlines are met.

  • Develop and execute fundraising campaigns to engage donors and supporters.

  • Build relationships with donors, sponsors, and funding organizations.

  • Maintain accurate records of donations and funding in collaboration with the team.

  • Provide regular updates on fundraising goals and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Leadership Support

  • Assist the Chairperson in planning, organizing, and leading quarterly Advisory Board meetings

  • Step in for the Chairperson when they are unavailable, assuming their duties as needed

  • Collaborate with the Chairperson to ensure the board fulfills its strategic and advisory responsibilities

Strategic Planning

  • Provide input on Tbuddy’s goals, programs, and initiatives to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and vision

  • Participate in discussions and decisions about long-term strategies and community impact

Governance and Oversight

Tbuddy is seeking a detail-oriented and committed individual to serve as the Treasurer of our Advisory Board. In this volunteer role, you will oversee the financial health and accountability of Tbuddy while providing strategic guidance on budgeting, financial planning, and compliance.  The Treasurer is a key leader in ensuring that Tbuddy’s resources are managed effectively to fulfill its mission of providing peer-driven mental health support for transmasculine individuals.

This position is ideal for someone with financial or accounting expertise who is passionate about improving mental health resources for the transmasculine community.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight

  • Monitor Tbuddy’s financial health and ensure fiscal responsibility

  • Provide oversight of budgets, financial statements, and expense reports

  • Assist in creating and reviewing annual budgets with the leadership team

Compliance and Accountability

  • Ensure Tbuddy adheres to all applicable financial regulations, nonprofit laws, and best practices

  • Maintain accurate financial records and support the organization in preparing for audits, if applicable

Reporting

  • Present financial reports and updates at quarterly Advisory Board meetings 

  • Provide clear, understandable summaries of Tbuddy’s financial position to board members and stakeholders

​

Fundraising Support

  • Collaborate with the Advisory Board and leadership team to strategize and implement fundraising initiatives

  • Oversee proper allocation and use of funds raised for specific campaigns or projects

Strategic Planning

  • Offer financial insight to support Tbuddy’s strategic goals and long-term sustainability

  • Participate in discussions around resource allocation and investment in programs

Advisory Support

  • Provide guidance on financial tools, systems, and best practices to enhance Tbuddy’s operations

  • Experience in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, or a related field (nonprofit experience preferred but not required)

Communication and Coordination

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for board communication, ensuring timely and clear updates to all members
